Los Angeles indie rock band The SOFT PACK are the final act to confirm BRO FEST 2010. Formerly known as The Muslims from San Diego, their newest album The Soft Pack is available through KEMADO RECORDS today (February 2nd).  The only time they’ve come through town was at the Cavern in October. If you were there, then you know how awesome these bros are live!

The SOFT PACK will be playing LETTERMAN on February 12th, SXSW in March and COACHELLA in April.

Tickets for the 17 band line-up for BRO FEST 2010 will be on sale later this week for a measly $13 advance/ $15 day of show. 21+ up only.

Thanks to Stephen Haynes for this awesomeness:

Austin/Denton punk garage act, BAD SPORTS are confirmed to open for the King Khan & the Shrines, Fresh & Onlys show at Sons of Hermann Hall.  Orville from Bad Sports recorded the Strange Boys album …and girls club.  Bad Sports have recently been featured on two compilations; Casual Victim Pile: Austin 2010 (matador) and Denton Denton USA (play pinball!).

Their debut album is available through Douchemaster Records.

This concept tour combines snowboarding and metal. Living near mountains only tour… High on Fire is playing the Denver and Vancouver dates. Headliners are ASG, who are playing Bro Fest 2010 and Kandi Coded. All shows are FREE, except for Vancouver.

The HOTRATS - Turn On (G & D/fat possum) - Gaz & Dan, half of late-90s UK alternative act Supergrass release 12 covers of bands ranging from Beastie Boys & Sex Pistols to Gang of Four & Roxy Music. Turn On is obviously what ‘turns these guys on’ or at least influenced them. Honestly, I haven’t really been interested in any Supergrass album since 1999’s Supergrass (parlophone) but this could garner fans they’ve lost over the years. If you were ever a fan, then you know their first two albums were brilliant and never got stale. Turn on is a great party album and conversation starter. Here is an mp3 of their rendition of the Beatles “Drive My Car“, which is not on the my version of the CD I have; and neither is “West End Girls” by Pet Shop Boys, so if anyone has it, please let me know because I’d love to hear it.
